I Said No To Lipo And Tried Fat Freezing Instead

I have good reasons not to like my body very much, in particular, my stubborn tummy is bent on making the world know that it continues to live, since I was 18. Problem is, I don’t have as much a problem with my weight, because I really don’t consider myself as fat. So you see why a tummy bulge can be an issue. Having tried dieting (which just makes me lose weight overall but doesn’t do much to change my shape), been to the gym, tried one of those vibration slimming belts, I contemplated liposuction. But according to a study, apparently fat comes back after it is liposuctioned out, to other parts of the body. I might be wrong, but I am not about to try it just to find out. More importantly, I discovered a world of non-invasive body shaping that hides in a doctor’s slimming arsenal. But the biggest question is, does the weight come back with non-invasive treatments? Well, at least there isn’t a study yet to Continue Reading

Knee Anxiety And Kninkles

Sagging skin and wrinkles on the face are often the first things that people rush to correct. In fact, women and men around the world are not giving skin agers a chance and many are embarking on anti-aging treatments long before the skin succumbs to gravity and to chance. Anti-aging treatments now extend to the neck, the décolleté, the hands and even the back! Kninkles, or knee wrinkles first got it’s publicity piece several years ago when Catherine Zeta-Jones glided over the red carpet looking picture perfect except for her crinkly and pouchy knees. Need I explain further why the world was devastated that a normal (but famous) human being was not allowed to look aged, even in the knees? Perhaps there isn’t a need to. This was simply the cue Continue Reading

Express Face And Body Treatments in 60 Minutes And Under

Mother’s Day is approaching and one of the best ways you can gift a busy mama is a little time to pamper themselves. What I need is a dash to a place for a guilt- and fuss-free treatment and have it done and dusted in less than 60 minutes! Busy mamas may not have time for much besides their children, but that’s exactly why they are one of the most savvy about the best express treatments in town. We are ardent fans of the SW1 Clinic, helmed by Dr Low Chai Ling, Dr Kenneth Lee and plastic surgeon Dr Tan Ying Chien. Here are some great and practical treatments mothers can get in 60 minutes and under; from a body sculpting to skin tightening treatments and 30 minute flash facials!   FACE Continue Reading

Most people with cellulite can relate to the fact that these are almost impossible to remove, even with a healthy diet and regular exercise. I beg your pardon, when I said “most people”, I meant 99.9 percent of all people, healthy and fit, or otherwise. If you are finding these little pockets of fat stubborn and impervious to exercise, it is probably time to explore these cellulite busters and skin smoothies.   Thermage Body Thermage is the proven formula for cellulite reduction and skin tightening for the body, and has been so for many years. The latest generation of Thermage comes with a cooling tip, which guarantees comfort and greatly reduces risks of burns. For those who are new to the game of the skin tightening game, Thermage creates a deep heating effect by using radiofrequency energy. The goal is to induce thermal damage so as to stimulate collagen production. Results can be observed at approximately 3 months and continues to improve for several more months with a single treatment. Continue Reading
